HIV-positive dancer cut tips off condoms to infect his Tinder dates
Updated: Jan 22, 2019
A UK dancer deliberately infected at least four men with HIV after meeting them on dating app Tinder — before sending them mocking messages, a court heard.
Raffael Evans, 26, from UK is accused of giving the men the virus, as well as attempting to infect a further six between October 2015 and December 2016.
After communicating with the men on the app, they would later have sex, but in each case, Evans refused to wear a condom during sexual intercourse or ‘sabotaged’ it shortly before intercourse took place
"Maybe you have the fever cos I came inside you and I have HIV, lol. Whoops!"
A alleged victim claims that Evans called him and laughed while he divulged that he was positive, allegedly saying: “I ripped the condom. You’re so stupid, you didn’t even know.”
When police arrested Evans and looked into his belongings, they found a box of condoms with the ends cut off and placed back in their wrappers, the BBC reported. “He engaged in deliberately risky sexual conduct knowing he was highly infectious,” Carberry said, reported the BBC. Evans has denied all the charges.
